In Delaware we used to live by an orchard, where we could go pick apples, drink apple cider, pick out a pumpkin, eat hot cinnamon doughnuts, and go on a hay ride. These were all things I associated with Fall when I was younger. In the absence of these things, I think Central Market apples with a hot gooey caramel sauce and mix'n'match toppings is a pretty good alternative :)
