When we were in Maui a couple weeks ago we went on a Trilogy sailing excursion to the remote island of Lanai, which is about 16 miles from the Maui mainland. It is so remote there are only 2 resorts on the whole island. The guidebook also told us that it's where Bill Gates got married a couple years ago. He actually rented the entire island and all the helicopters/boats in Maui to make sure it was a private affair.
We had lots of fun on the water, ate good food, and enjoyed snorkeling in clear blue water.
